This has been bugging me for awhile, so I completely redid it. It looks a lot better and is more correct.
Aaand... Malachi was nice enough to model for us. :U
But yeah. These are some guidelines I use when drawing hands plus some tips/tricks.
As for that further information, here it is:
You don't have to draw them as realistically as I do. BUT you should apply the guidelines for them to look believable. There will be variations between styles, variations depending on the age and gender of the character-- but these "rules", if you will, will stay the same. There's more I could put here, but these are the important ones to me. Learn to analyze your own hand and how it works and moves. It'll let you get it to paper easier.
